Bush Won't Attend Convention Knowing His Being There Would Hurt Romney (my version of title by Catalina Camia at usatoday.com)

The plain fact is G.W. Bush appearing at the Convention would be an albatross around the neck of Mitt Romney.

Bush nearly destroyed the GOP. He pushed Amnesty for 8 years and refused to secure the Southern Border. He pussyfooted with Presidente Fox and planned the NAU--The North American Union, the end of the sovereign United States--with Fox and Canadian PM Martin via the SPP and our Commerce Department. He forced a Republican House to spend like drunken sailors. 9/11 happened 7 months into his administration. The country was in a perpetual recession under his reign. He called American Patriots--including retired women and men in campers who parked on the Arizona-Mexico Border and called in Border jumpers to the BP--"vigilantes" while himself refusing to protect the nation from Invasion to the tune of 3 million a year-plus.

I'm sure it was a formality, but the Romney Campaign must have breathed a sigh of relief with G.W. Bush declined the invitation to attend the Convention.
