Romney's Website: Romney Wants To Flood America With Millions Of Legal Aliens Including 'Guestworkers' With Zero Enforcement, Creating An Enormous 'Chain Migration' System While Taking A 'Hands Off' Approach (De Facto Amnesty) To The Mega-Millions Of Illegal Aliens Already Here

to Romney's Issues/Immigration page. It's very revealing both in what it contains and what it doesn't contain. It shows us what Romney plans for next year--a humungous "giveaway" to big business and BigAg with "0" enforcement.

 

After the "boilerplate" b.s. about "We are a nation of immigrants", Romney gets right into the need for a Guestworker program.

 

Here's what Romney "believes" in blue. My comments are [in red] :

But today, our immigration system is broken. [Only because Federal Immigration laws aren't being enforced either at the Federal or state level except in some of the 1070 states]

 

Our immigration system is not optimized for today’s economy.  The United States is currently excluding too many workers who will start businesses, create jobs, foster innovation, and help grow our economy. [Bullcrap! We bring in 1.1 million visa'd aliens EVERY YEAR, more than any other country in the world, and there aren't enough jobs and isn't enough welfare money--which is supposed to go to needy citizens--to sustain them!]

 

We do not grant enough visas to high-skill job creators and innovators our economy needs to make up for labor shortages and gaps in skills. Plus, the current system sends away the great majority of the over 300,000 foreign students who are earning advanced degrees at U.S. universities. And the system for bringing in temporary, seasonal workers is so cumbersome and time-consuming, that too often an employer finds that harvest or tourist season passes before temporary worker visas are approved. [More bullcrap! White-collared India workers on H-1B visas have taken and continue to take millions of good-paying American jobs! Note that Romney says NOTHING about how American workers cannot get these jobs because the Federal Government isn't enforcing the "Americans first" rule in our Immigration laws.]

 

A porous border allows illegal immigrants to enter the United States, violent cartel members and terrorists possibly among them. And many visitors ignore the terms of their visas and stay in the U.S. illegally. [Romney's right except that he talks as if he's talking "in the nebulous", like he's talking in the abstract. The fact IS...40 to 60 MILLION illegals including terrorists ARE ALREADY IN OUR COUNTRY! And THAT is no "abstract"! He admits in the next sentence that "many" visa'd workers and students violate the terms of their visas and overstay. What he DOESN'T say is "how many"! The number floating about is "40%". It could be lower or higher. But what Romney DOESN'T tell us is how he justifies flooding the country with another half a million Mexican Guestworkers/farmworkers is going to solve the the farmworker "shortage" issue when 40% of them are going to abscond to our cities and suburbs and compete for and take jobs from needy Americans and others who can't find work going on welfare on the backs of taxpayers! There's NO LOGIC to his plans!]

 

The current system is keeping nuclear families apart.  Currently, legal immigrants in America often have to wait years to be with husbands, wives, and young children. [NOW we get to what he wants to do--flood the country with even MORE aliens who are in some way related to the millions of guestworkers here, a fact known as "chain migration". First, bring in the male adult (husband) as a farmworker. Then, allow that green-carded worker to bring in his family and friends--people who don't speak our language, are poor and as a result don't contribute to America except to "go on the dole" on the backs of the American taxpayer! The Bracero Program of the 1940s and 1950s worked because their family members (wives, children) in Mexico weren't allowed to join them. They HAD to return to Mexico after the harvest and there was enforcement then. There's ZERO enforcement now! We need to GO BACK to the Bracero Program of the 1950s but to do that would require hiring thousands of new ICE agents and putting ankle bracelets on all guestworkers/farmworkers, something Congress will never approve.]

Then, Romney alludes to his Grand Amnesty-Guestworker plan he calls "a national immigration strategy":

As president, Mitt Romney will implement a national immigration strategy that bolsters the U.S. economy, ensures our security, keeps nuclear families together, addresses the problem of illegal immigration in a civil and resolute manner, and carries on America’s tradition as a nation of legal immigrants. [How does FLOODING the country with 500,000 more Mexican workers--half of whom will abscond from the fields for higher-paying, easier work--"bolster the economy"? Adding half a million poor, Spanish-speaking Mexicans won't "ensure our security"! WHOSE "nuclear families"? The illegal aliens'? The guestworkers' families on chain migration? What is "civil and resolute" about Border jumpers and visa overstayers--Federal lawbreakers? Notice how there is no mention of "enforcing the law" IE DEPORTATION because Romney doesn't BELIEVE in rounding up and deporting illegal aliens! He's said so many times in the primary debates and in the second Presidential debate.]

Now Romney gets into some specifics, many of these based on myths:

• The United States is projected to face a shortage of 230,000 science and technology workers by 2018.  At the same time, we have set the caps on high-skill visas so low that, for some countries, an entire year’s quota has been filled in an hour.  Mitt Romney will ask Congress to raise the caps on visas for highly skilled immigrants. [Who "projected" this figure? Some pro-business think tank? There's a reason for these "caps"--to protect American workers and American students entering or trying to enter the workforce. You see, Romney is a stooge for big business/The Chamber of Horrors that refuses to hire American workers.]

• Many country caps—or limits on immigrants from specific countries—are so low, that America is losing some of the best and brightest to our international competitors. Mitt Romney will work with Congress to raise the country caps. [Caps are there FOR A REASON, Romney! They're there to PROTECT Americans looking for a job in our country. Take care of AMERICANS first, Romney--THEN preach to us about how "unfair" caps are! 40 million or more Americans are out of work and businesses are refusing to hire white collar American workers. I live a few blocks from Google. I see who enters and leaves one of their "campuses". They are almost all foreigners. Google is one of the few American big businesses doing well. Why aren't they forced by the Feds to hire American workers and why won't Romney talk about this?]

• Every foreign student who obtains an advanced degree in math, science, or engineering at a U.S. university should be granted permanent residency. [What an idiot! Romney is clearly anti-American worker. How can Conservatives vote for such a fool?]

• As president, Mitt Romney will make the system for bringing in temporary agricultural workers and other seasonal workers functional for both employers and immigrants.  We should get rid of unnecessary requirements that delay issuance of a visa, and we should speed the processing of applications. [Thee are a liar! There is nothing "temporary" or "seasonal" about farmworkers! Most stay in the U.S. and many abscond to the cities and burbs, leaving their farm jobs completely. This is BigAg talking! You can see how Romney is not only an agent for big business (via the Chamber of Horrors) but also for BigAg.]

• Mitt Romney will work with Congress, states, and employers to properly set the cap on non-agricultural temporary worker visas.  Many tourist-oriented businesses in the United States rely on these workers and would have to cut back or cease operations if there are not enough visas. [Most of these businesses hire illegal aliens, not legal aliens on work visas. Shame on you, Romney!]

Mitt Romney will protect legal immigration and the 4.5 million who are waiting in line to enter the United States legally by taking a strong stand against illegal immigration. He believes that illegal immigration must end and has a proven track record of advancing that goal. [How does "taking a strong stand against illegal immigration" "protect" the 4.5 million foreigners he says are waiting in line to emigrate to America? Has Romney proposed anything that amounts to getting tough with illegal aliens? NO! McCain forced him to stop mentioning "self-deportation" back in January but even if he WAS still talking "self-deportation", he NEVER backed it up with "how" he was going to force the 40 to 60 million to leave! He only talked "self-deportation" to get Conservative voters to vote in the primaries for him so he would win the nomination. Once he achieved that, he stopped "the tough talk". Saying he "believes that illegal immigration must end" is like saying he believes "we should all be millionaires". It means nothing. Hey, I believe that there should be peace in the world! I believe that birds fly and that banks should open at 9 AM! So fricking what?]

According to the non-partisan Government Accountability Office, Border Patrol lacks control of over half of our southwest border. And some estimates indicate that over 40% of illegal immigrants in America entered the country legally, but then overstayed their visas. [

• Mitt Romney will complete a high-tech fence to enhance border security. [I am assuming he means the 750 miles of double-layered Border fence with a road in between called for in The Secure Fence Act of 2006. Only 36 miles of it were built under Bush. Congress defunded it. Does this mean Romney will push the House to refund it with RINOs controlling the House? Maybe.]

• Governor Romney will ensure that we have the officers on the ground we need to gain control of the border. [Officers? Does he mean Border Patrol agents? How many is he talking about? 1,000 more? 2,000? 10,000? Soetoro-Obama hired more agents but moved them away from the Southern Border. "Where" they are placed is crucial. If they're placed 3 miles from the Border, then we've given up the Border to the Cartel/smugglers.]

• A Romney Administration will work to develop an efficient, effective system of exit verification to ensure people do not overstay their visas. [Question: How does "exit verification" catch/arrest and deport overstayers? If illegals aren't exiting (and they're not--they're staying put here), HOW DO YOU VERIFY THEM? ICE currently has only 271 agents for searching for MILLIONS of overstayers! It is a system DESIGNED TO FAIL! You don't "play nice" with overstayers! You state, "From my first day in office, I will make it a point in my press and news conferences to tell overstayers to leave our country or face arrest, fingerprinting and banishment from the U.S. when we catch them! I will instruct the Governors in all states to do the same. It will be A NATIONAL EFFORT to REMOVE the millions of overstayers and will be part of my "attrition thru enforcement" plan together with an equally aggressive effort going after Border jumpers. I will also use my office to PROMOTE 1070 in the 43 states that don't have law and will also PROMOTE the use of 287.g nationally. My main effort will be a simple warning or edict to the millions of illegal aliens in our country--"Pack up your old kit bag and go home!"

This will discourage illegal immigrants from coming to America to seek jobs. [We don't need Romney "to develop an E-verify system--IT ALREADY EXISTS AND IT'S 98% ACCURATE!! What Romney DOESN'T say is what he'll do about the 8-10 million illegal aliens working for a paycheck here. They are "protected" by the current Federal E-verify law in that employers ARE NOT ALLOWED TO CHECK CURRENT EMPLOYEE'S IMMIGRATION STATUS! It's a huge loophole in the system created by the Chamber and RINOs controlled the House under Clinton.]

• Governor Romney opposes all “magnets” that entice illegal immigrants to come to our country. As governor, he vetoed in-state tuition benefits for illegal immigrants and opposed driver’s licenses for illegal immigrants. [The "magnets" are: "a red carpet" for illegals here consisting of 1) de facto Amnesty, 2) employers not being allowed by law to check the immigration status of current workers, 3) free medical care on the backs of taxpayers and higher medical bills and cost of hospitalization for all of us, 4) WIC and other welfare for illegal aliens. End those "freebies" and allow employers to check their current employees' immigration status and the magnets will disappear.]

• As president, Mitt Romney will foster a legal immigration system that works. This will offer an alternative to those who would otherwise enter illegally.  For instance, reforming our current temporary worker program will offer employers who need such staff a legal option to find employees. [So, Romney thinks that by allowing a FLOOD of aliens from Mexico LEGALLY will somehow stop or curtail ILLEGAL entry by Mexican nationals? Well, maybe that is so but why then even HAVE a Border? How are we going to support millions of poor, illiterate Mexicans who DON'T ASSIMILATE? That is the CFR/Romney position--Open Borders, flood the nation with millions of Mexicans--Mexamerica!]

Mitt Romney believes in the rule of law and will fully enforce federal immigration law. As governor, he authorized state police to assist the federal government in immigration enforcement. [Oh, really?]

 

As president, Mitt Romney will ensure that husbands, wives and their minor children are brought together on a timely basis. [And HOW will Romney keep visiting relatives/families from Mexico and other countries from overstaying? You know, "enforcement"?]

• Mitt Romney will speed the processing of applications by eliminating the red tape that is keeping immediate families apart. [Families of illegal aliens or legal aliens? He doesn't make that important distinction. Also, where is the "enforcement" side of this plan? It's virtually non-existent.]

 

• Mitt Romney will work with Congress to give legal permanent residents the same priority as citizens when applying to bring husbands, wives, and minor children to the United States. [THERE YA GO, FOLKS! Chain migration, Romney-style! And who's going to support these poor immigrants? That's right, folks! You and me! This man hasn't an ounce of "moratorium" in him, and that's another reason not to vote for him. Why even have immigration laws with this bozo as President?]

 

• Mitt Romney will reallocate green cards to family of citizens and legal permanent residents. [Pure insanity! Flood the nation with more and more immigrants BEYOND the 1.1 million we already allow in each year!]

Mitt Romney believes that young illegal immigrants who were brought to the United States as children should have the chance to become permanent residents, and eventually citizens, by serving honorably in the United States military. [These "young illegal immigrants" MUST NOT be gang members! Careful vetting of them is essential AND they must show a loyalty to the U.S. which illegal aliens simply DON'T HAVE! The Dave Levine Show is strongly opposed to this Bush-Rumsfeld effort that brought 16,000 illegal alien gangbangers to our armed forces and caused the death of at least one U.S. soldier.]

Mitt Romney opposes amnesty because he believes that it acts as a magnet encouraging illegal immigration. The last amnesty law passed in 1986 granted legal status to 2.7 million illegal immigrants. In the decades since, the illegal immigrant population has quadrupled. Mitt believes that an amnesty should not be permitted to happen again. Illegal immigrants who apply for legal status should not be given any advantage over those who are following the law and waiting their turn. Mitt absolutely opposes any policy that would allow illegal immigrants to “cut in line.” [THIS IS A BALD-FACED LIE! ROMNEY PUSHED HIS "TOUCHBACK AMNESTY" SCHEME FOR 6 YEARS BEFORE DROPPING IT QUIETLY IN MID-DECEMBER OF LAST YEAR! AND HE CONTINUES TO LIE! THE FIGURE IS 40 TO 60 MILLION, NOT 11 MILLION! Instead of saying "Illegal immigrants who apply for legal status should not be given any advantage...", Romney should be saying "Illegal aliens are a scourge on our country and society and must go home and as President, I'll make sure they do just that!"]

Well, folks, there you have it. I'm not making anything up here! This is from Romney's website's Issues/Immigration page.

 

Romney plays both sides of the issue but it's interesting that he tries to get away with saying NOTHING about enforcement other than he "will fully enforce Federal immigration law". He says NOTHING about MANDATORY E-verify (LAWA in Arizona), HR 2885 and its unacceptable "preemption" and "grandfathering in" clauses, 1070 laws, the 287.g program, attrition thru enforcement, catch and release, SECOMM (which deports only convicted felons and releases the rest back into our society) and not a word about birthright citizenship/birth tourism!

 

Romney, like the pro-big business Bushies around him, wants to ERASE our Borders. Almost everything he talks about here is about weakening our Immigration laws or getting rid of them entirely.

 

Any Conservative worth his/her salt would be NUTS to put this joker in office! Make Mitt Romney "a two-time loser" on Election Day and work HARD to find and get behind a law and order Conservative to lead the country in 2016!
