Why Won't Romney Come Out And Define Himself As "The Law And Order Candidate"?

The GOP Platform is beginning to resemble--in places--"the perfect Conservative platform" of The Constitution Party thanks in large part to the influences of 1070-co-author Kris Kobach and even some input from Libertarian Ron Paul. Never has a Republican Party Platform being so close to what Conservatives want to see. The most significant addition/change? The Party now stands for the self-deportation of illegal aliens.

However, two or three things are still wrong with this picture:

1) Self-deportation "is nice to talk about" but the only way it can be accomplished is thru enforcement, enforcement, enforcement and the business lobby and ACLU are going to fight this all the way. Illegal aliens aren't going to leave a state unless a 1070 bill is passed and unless there is a mandatory E-verify component. 1070 bills rarely make it out of committee and rarely get passed (There are only 7 of them out of 50 states); and there are only a few mandatory E-verify laws (I believe 7 states have them but not all require them for all businesses in those states). What do the Feds have to do regarding "enforcement"? Massive ICE raids like the ones in Temecula and Ontario, CA in June-July 2004! Is President Romney going to order these raids across the country or is he going to kow tow to his friends, the powerful Chamber of Horrors and BigAg? Again, self-deportation won't happen without the raids and without states cracking down on illegals and their lawbreaking employers via 1070 laws.

2) Romney won't say whether he's going to rescind Soetoro-Obama's Executive, illegal Amnesty. Why not? Because the GOP is in the process of "hispandering", aka "Hispanic outreach". Conservatives should be putting pressure on Romney to do just that in his first day in office. Another reason could be Romney's desire to present a huge Amnesty/legalization plan next year via the Republicans in Congress. Romney has been for a version of Mike Pence's "touchback Amnesty" scheme for over six years.

3) Missing from the Platform is the push to end birthright citizenship--the reason we have millions of anchor babies and children in the U.S. Congressman Steve King (R-IA) had a bill in 2011 HR 140 that would do just that at

If Romney resists being a law and order President, he won't win a second term. American voters want our laws enforced!
